‘Myofascial Pain Syndrome,MPS’ may be unfamiliar name for you. However similar illness ‘Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS, FM)’ must be familiar name for Japanese both in a positive and negative way.

On 2nd February, 2007, Famous lady announcer of Japan television broadcasting, Ms, Kimie Ohsugi (original family name is Suzuki) killed herself. （Referecnce (Japanese)）。 She was fighting ‘Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS, FM)’ which makes uncertain cause pain on a lot of muscle after having child. Cause of this accident may come from this illness.

It seems there is relationship between Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS) and Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS, FM). When few portions of body have pain, it is called ‘Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS)’. When many portions of body have pain, it is called ‘Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS, FM)’
